Galaxy M10 and M20 to Meet the Needs of Millennials in India


While being the globe's leading mobile devices manufacturer, Samsung boasts a wide range of smartphones for different types of buyer personas despite age, wage or preferences. On the other hand, the company is making efforts to keep it leading market positions for the future. For this reason, the manufacturer has added M10 and M20 models to its handset portfolio.

The launch of M series was a crucial step to retain the major share of the mobile market. It is more affordable if compared to other lineups. The M10 and M20 phones were designed to meet the expectations of young and teenaged users representing a so-called Generation Z also known as the millennials.

The affordable handsets will be available in two major versions. The M20 is a bit more powerful phone delivering more functions out of the box. At the same time, M10 is a cheaper version with minimum features and lower specs. The devices are already available for Indian consumers. They have got on stock through Amazon India. Both appear to be the first M-series phones available on the Indian market.

As for the core features, the new device will have the Infinity-V display (the M20 version) or the alternative Infinity-O screen available in M10 model. A for the other specifications, they are as follows:

Galaxy M20 Specifications

  • Full HD 6.3-inch screen.
  • 2340 x 1080 resolution.
  • Exynos 7904 chip.
  • Fingertip scanner and some other baseline options.

The model will be available with 32 or 64 GB of internal storage in addition to microSD extension capabilities.

Galaxy M10 Specifications

  • 6.2-inch HD screen.
  • 1550 x 720 resolution.
  • Exynos 7879 processor.

The M10 version will not have a fingertip scanner. It will feature a smaller battery with a capacity of up to 3400mAh. The phone will come in two modifications with 16 and 32 GB of storage.

Both models will be equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera that will team up with a wide-angle lens of 5 megapixels. The 8-megapixel front camera will let users take photos or chat online. The sales kick off on February 5.
